What fun!

I am very excited to learn about all the educational technology that is out there. I finally feel I'm in a class that fits my level! I feel good about every program I have used in the past, the Microsoft programs, Movie Maker, some web page basics... and though I feel like I know a lot about technology, I don't feel I integrate it into my curriculum as much as I could. Many of the students I work with really struggle with reading and writing, so I sometimes feel that having them work on the computers takes away from the direct instruction of skills, but I need to remember, that it's ok. They might even learn more - or at least have more motivation to try if I find tools that are helpful to them. That's probably what's so hard - there's SO much out there - what's really going to be the best for the students?

I also enjoyed exploring Google more in depth. I joined last year in another technology class, but never really used it. I like having everything in one place - calendar, notes, POP mail access... I wish I would've started here long ago! I wouldn't have needed so many accounts! :P
