- In our district we have a one-day technology inservice scheduled the last week of August. How powerful would it be to start the presentation with the "Pay Attention" video from teachertube? I found a few more videos like "Cooperation" that would also be appropriate for that day.
- My kindergarten class buddies with a fourth grade class. I think it would be a more impactful experience to watch the "Don't laugh at me" video together with them.
- I found searching in teacher tube difficult. Seems you had to have an exact match to get a result. I know of a couple of videos I'd like to find, but don't know the exact name, thus I couldn't locate them.
U Tube:
- cautionary tale... : )
Hulu:
- I couldn't get (or wasn't patient enough to wait) for anything to open. But what did I find? The topless pillow fight from Animal House! Again, caution on letting students on. : )
School World:
- I'm planning on emailing my administrator and technology coordinator about using this. Our district really has no plan I am aware of for teachers adding webpages. (Well, maybe for the extremely savvy...) The only web pages I am familar with are those that need our technology people to help with. We have a great district website and how accomodating to parents if we could link our webpages right from the school sites...
- I am also hoping that the district will pick up the cost.
Voki:
- Still unsure if I am comfortable putting this on my soon to be created web page? (I teach Kindergarten.)
- I am really flattering myself with my Avatar, but there were really no middle age choices.
Blogger:
- What a great way to keep family connected that is scattered about!
- As is the calendar. I usually get at least one phone call during parent teacher conferences from a forgetful child.
- A friend used this to keep a large group of people update when his dad was in a serious accident with a long recovery.
- I hope this will work for connecting privately with my grade level partners. We are in four different schools.
