Wow! It's only the first day and already we have broken several school district policies concerning electronic devices - I feel like such a rebel. I wasn't sure what format this class would take, students centered specific need or a broad cross-sectional survey of new media opportunities. I was hoping for the later, it must be my lucky day.
So far, I feel pretty good about the things we have done. None of them have been all that difficult to view, do, or create. Most importantly, today's successes have kind of fired me up to do more tomorrow. Hats off to you Deb and Chris - you got a hook in me!
While all of this new stuff is fun, the lingering fear that I have exploring all of these new media sources is whether I can update myself and incorporate them into my instructional materials adequately. With my current techno-skill level, it looks like a rather daunting task. However, I know if I just chip away at it I can get a surprising amount done to make a number of my lessons/assignments more interesting to the plugged in generation. Lets hope Tuesday goes as smoothly as today.
See ya'
