Great Day!

We certainly were busy today. I enjoyed working with both Photo Story and Animoto. I completed projects in both but was not able to retrieve them at home so I am concerned they did not get saved properly. I put my granddaughter's photo on magmypic and she looks lovely, although magmypic spelled the word maternity incorrectly on the cover. Found Flickr to be a wonderful site for pictures. Delicious is a great tool but, again, it didn't seem to convert to my home computer.
Some videos I thought were good are:
Teacher Tube -
1. Don't Laugh at Me
Great song and message.
2. Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things
Very famous people having normal characteristics.
3. Did You Know?
Great for teachers to view to realize where kids are with the use of technology. Some of the statistics would be even more astounding today because the most recent statistics were from 2006.
You Tube -
4. Creeping oobleck
Video shows oobleck on a vibrating surface.
I have students make oobleck after reading Dr.Sues' book about oobleck as an introduction to the chemistry unit. This video would be great to show them after they have had a chance to play with the oobleck.
5. Optical Illusions
We observe optical illusions after studying the eye. Students always enjoy these illusions.
These are some I already have and some new ones.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow to complete some unfinished projects and starting new ones.
