Monday, July 28, 2008 Day 1

☺ I am finally able to post a day late and am enthusiastically embracing the information from the first day. It was delightful creating a voki, and I am devising several opportunities to use that venue for my Spanish classes. I think that even at the first year level it would lend itself to a brief explanation of personal information in the target language. I am continually trying to upgrade the "old skool" assessment format of testing, testing, testing by incorporating the newest technology items. I have to be able to relinquish some of the other activities which were so entrenched in my methodology, but I know this is a step into the 21st century that I have to make. I am very pleased that I am understanding so much more about the Web2.0 world that I entered last summer at the CESA workshop. This class is precisely what I had hoped it would be - the next level, but a great refresher of some of the areas which overwhelmed me with too much information last August. I am ready to meet the challenge.
