Another great day! I am really excited about my animoto and my photostory.
Here are five video clips/podcasts that I would like to use in my classroom:
1. Sea World (Podcast) - "Killer Whales"
Anything with whales is exciting to a Kindergarten student. I would use this clip as an
introduction to an ocean unit. WSTS #1, 3, 4.
2. National Geographic (Podcast) - "Antarctica Family Robinson"
This is another clip that provides a lot of information in a short time on a level that
Kindergarteners can understand. WSTS #1, 2,3,4, 9
3. Aesop'sFables (Audio Podcast) - "The Lion, the Bear, and the Fox
Students can listen to fables being read to them. This could be used in a literacy center.

4. YouTube - "Lucy's first day of Kindergarten"
This clip chronicles Lucy's first day of Kindergarten, and how she overcomes her first day
jitters and anxieties. I would show this to my students during the first week of shool to let
them know that being worried about starting school is a natural thing. It would also be a neat
clip to show to parents at orientation. WSTS # 1,2,3,4,6,7,9,10.
5. TeacherTube - "Schoolhouse Rock - A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing
This clip is really fun and cartoony anf the music is very fetching. I would show this clip to my
students at the end of the year when we begin to talk about "first-grade stuff".
